Orange full moon, fog, deer herd, raccoons, and RIP gator
Awendaw Century 💯
Out the door before 4 AM. While still in Nexton had my first encounter with wildlife. Six deer foraging in someone’s yard were spooked by my bike and crossed the road in front of me. Neat to hear 12 hooves clacking on the asphalt.
Nearly a full moon with a warm orange tint. As the ride progressed the fog lowered which signifies no wind. Yay! It was a moist ride.
Usually avoid riding up and back routes but seeing how the route to Awendaw was in the dark the route back was not boring. Saw a family of raccoons cross the road and not long after that saw a dead young alligator on the road. Seen my share of roadkill but never an alligator #NSFL. RIP little gator.
The ride was good. Moving time was less than 6 hours so I consider that a win.
