Goosebumps on my way to the beach. The sun was rising on my left, a full moon was setting on my right, I was surrounded by water, and the smell of pluff mud was permeating the air. Sensory overload.
To beat the heat was on the road at 3:30 AM. Wanted to be on the beach for sunrise but was a few minutes late. The segment from the Intracoastal Waterway to the beach takes much longer than you’d think. The road winds like a question mark.
On the way home spotted a sunflower farm and stopped for a photo. There was what looked like a 3 string fence. Decided that wasn’t going to stop me and squeezed through it. Lo and behold it was electric. Was more careful on the exit and avoided another jolt.
Besides the wonderful show mother nature displayed, the lack of predawn traffic was a joy.
I approve of their message regardless of the misspelling.
