Rained a good portion of the day. By the afternoon I was sad that the weekend was coming to a close. Thinking I’ve never completed consecutive century rides I should try that tonight. Hopped on my bicycle and rode to the beach.
Passed by a yellow Volkswagen beetle broken down on the side of the road. Had to turn around and get a photo with Old Yeller.
Opening CLIF bar packages is frustrating especially when my hands are sweaty. Slid a letter opener between my battery and top tube bag. Worked nicely. Just need to be careful not to slice my finger.
Dropped by the Stono River County Park and rode the West Ashley Greenway. Both were a little too busy for the COVID-19 era. Cut my visit to the park short and did what I could on the trail to keep my distance from everyone. Fingers crossed.
Made it to Folly Beach before sundown. Wasn’t much of a sunset due to the cloud cover. Still good to see the ocean. The town was pretty active for a Sunday night.
Arrived back home a little after 11 PM. The last 30 miles were pretty laborious but happy I got one century closer to my goal of a 100 by the end of 2020. 86 century rides since joining Strava.
Ride on. ☮
