Ride turned out easier than I anticipated. 5 hours of sleep after a pretty active week made me think today was going to be a hard one. Thankfully it wasn’t.
First time on Doar Rd in Awendaw. Wanted to get to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Forest Service Rd 260-B was my best bet. Took off down the gravel road and was saddened to see it end before getting to the waterway. Undeterred I parked Old Yeller and headed off into the mosquito infested forest. Reached the water and it was glorious. Took in the scenery and headed back to Old Yeller.
Planned on returning home via the same route but overcame my fear of catching rona on the Ravenel bridge and headed to Charleston. Had a nice tailwind. Sweet ride.
429 miles in the last 8 days. Tomorrow I shall vegetate the entire day.
Ride on. ☮
